Children

I have decided why The Lord gives us children. He gives them to us so
that we can come closer to Him. I found myself reading the Ensign to
Will and talking to him about Jesus and the prophets. Then we went to
choir practice at the visitors center. Theyhad some flowers blooming
and we talked about how God makes the flowers for us to show us He is
still there and thinks of us. Even though Will is only 1.5 years old,
I know he was listening and that made me excited. Children are given
to us because without them we would (I would) stagnate.

Will

This is Will with a Hershey's kiss in his mouth. He loves his chocolate.

Stupid freaking NFM

This is our broken bed. I was sitting right on top of where it broke.
My life didn't pass before my eyes but it did freak me out a bit. Then
I got mad. Then I started to laugh. What else could I do? Matt thinks
he can fix it because our new frame sucks. I'll get to that in a minute.

The previous post from last night happened because Will pushed the
send button on my phone before I was ready. I was mad at the dog
because she was whining sooo much. Will was crying and climbing up on
me and pulling my hair and driving me CRAZY. Plus we had to get a new
bed frame and it was $45.00 but it has WHEELS that DON'T lock. Every
time I go to sit or lay down the stupid thing moves. I was super
annoyed last night. I'm better now.

Right Now

Right now I am listening to the fan in our bedroom and the sound of
Matt puttering in the kitchen. I just woke up from a nap (much
needed) to hear him in the kitchen. Its really cute and I have a great
husband.

A Story About Cricket

Once upon a time there was a car named Cricket. She was yellow and cute. Then one day, when she was seven years old, she decided to have a funny sound. It kind of sounded like something was dragging on the ground from the engine. Whenever the wheel was turned the tires sounded like they were hitting something. So, Cricket's owner decided to call her mechanic, who is open on Mondays but not Saturdays. The mechanic was expecting her but she had to be towed. So her owner called the insurance company to get her towed. The call was made about 11am and they said someone would be out to get her in 35 minutes. An hour later her owner called the tow company who said they were on their way. An hour after that the owner called the tow company again and they said they would call the owner back and see what had happened. Twenty minutes later the owner called the insurance company again to let them know what was going on. The tow company confessed to the insurance company that they had lost the ticket but someone would be there to get Cricket in 20 minutes. Sure enough, 20 minutes later someone came to tow her away so she could get better. The End

Baby monitor

Why can't I ever remember to turn on the baby monitor until I'm
snuggled up in bed and ready to take off my glasses and turn off the
light?

Apple Cider Vinegar

I have a cousin named Cindy who has a son named Matt. Matt has a
girlfriend named May. I was over at Cindy's house Thursday night and
exercise equipment was being assembled by Matt and May. We got to
talking about weight loss as often happens around exercise equipment.
May mentioned she lost lots of weight and she says a cap full of apple
cider vinegar in a glass of water before bed helps the pounds melt
off. I want to lose 20-30 lbs by September so I am trying it. My cap
is attached to my apple cider vinegar bottle so last night I used a
full tsp. Man was it nasty. Tonight I used half a teaspoon (tsp) and
it was much better tonight. I'll let you know if the pounds start to
melt off. I sure hope so. I guess exercise wouldn't hurt either, huh?

Early Year Resolutions

Since I missed out on New years resolutions and I have decided to
change some things, I am making early year resolutions.

I am going to lose 20-30 pounds. I want to drop some weight before I
get pregnant again.

I am going to read my scriptures for 30 minutes a day in the morning.

I am going to re-evaluate each day in my journal before I go to bed.

I am going to spend 2 hours outside of class studying each day.

I'll make regular resolution check ups to keep me honest. The End

Why I hate Corporate America

I went to Target, Wal-Mart, and Lowes tonight. I hate all of them.
Target had all these beautiful curtain swatches that were supposed to
represent their stock of curtains. Every swatch I liked was not in
stock. All the ones in stock were either ugly or $30 per panel and I
needed two packages. And all of their light switch covers were $7-8
per cover and I wasn't going to pay that 'cause I needed seven all
together. So we went to Wal-Mart. I hate Wal-Mart. I got a curtain rod
but I had the same issues with the curtains. So we ended up with a $3
twin sheet in navy blue (the same as the other curtains). Wam-Mart
didn't have any selection of light switch covers. So we had to go to
Lowes. They did have switch covers - I ended up with five $3 covers
and one $5 cover. I totally got ripped off. At least the outlet and
switch covers match now. I feel like I got run around town and
screwed. If we didn't have all these huge corporate companies, I would
have had a smaller selection and probably would have had to pay more
but my time would have not seem wasted and I wouldn't have felt
screwed. I hate corporate America.

Who Says Boys Can't Multi-task?

This is Will. He is the smartest baby ever. He is using his vacuum
while talking on the calculator that thinks it's a phone. I love my
son. He keeps me entertained.

Matt and Emily helping Apple take over the World

My friend Rhia commented about my iPhone post and I decided that Matt
and I as a family are single handedly helping Apple take over the
world. We own a Mac computer and a Mac laptop (although the laptop
died). We also own two iPhones and two iPods. Below is a picture of
our computer and my iPod.

Will eating a cupcake

William had a cupcake for dessert tonight. This was the result. Arn't
kids great?

Question of the day

Why are all my friends wittier than me?

The Matty

I just wanted to say, I don't think I would know anything about Matt if he didn't have a blog. All of those things he posted about himself were news to me (except the adoption thing - he sprung that on me a couple of weeks ago). Thank goodness Matt has a blog or I would be living with a complete stranger :)

My iPhone

In case you don't already know, Matt and I got iPhones a few weeks ago. I love my iPhone. Here are some reasons why I love my iPhone:

1. It's portable - the iPhone fits in my pocket nicely and is small enough not to make a big bulge or to be uncomfortable.

2. It's super sleek and stylish (and cute) - It just looks hot. Black with the silver back and the chrome edging.
3. It's maps feature is awsome - It automatically knows where you are and will map from your location to anywhere. It will also allow you to put pins in for where you leave your car so you can always find it again.
4. I have the internet in my pocket - what other phone allows you to have the internet in your pocket? And most pages have a layout for the iPhone so they work well.
5. I can check my e-mail and get alerts when I get a new e-mail - you can set the phone up to check your e-mail every 15, 30 minutes or 1 hour. It's awsome!
In case you didn't get it the first time, I love my iPhone.
